There are basically two ways to order from us.

1)       You can post a cheque(payable to P.Clarkson) with your typed or hand-written order in the old-fashioned way. Use the order form if you wish.

2)       You can carefully email your order and pay by PayPal (Further details below). This is quicker and saves you postage. It is the best way for overseas customers to pay.   Opening a Paypal account is quite easy. But you must have a bank account.

                                                                  

REFERENCE NUMBERS.  It helps us if you quote the REF numbers. P1 etc stands for postcards, FS1 etc stands for full sets, M1 for Miscellaneous, VL1 for very large cards. Numbers without pre-fixed letters mean the item is normal cigarette or trade card size. You don't have to write the year, issuer, or series title if you state the REF number.    The catalogue is regularly updated so there is no need to e-mail to check availability.

PAYMENT Is accepted by cheques (payable to P.Clarkson), PayPal, postal orders and banknotes(sent at your own risk).  Blank(or ‘open’ cheques) are welcome. To avoid giving change, you can fill in all details except the amount, writing 'Not to exceed £xxx' in a prominent place. We then fill in the exact amount & notify you of the total with your order.

Please do not send coins through the post. Regret we do not take credit cards,unless you pay by Paypal. We only accept payment in GB pounds sterling.

PAYPAL  Go to www.paypal.com and log in. Click on ‘send money’ and in the ‘To’ box type matchdaycards@hotmail.com   Payment must be in GB pounds (i.e. £ sterling).  To save you posting your order, you may e-mail me the order at matchdaycards@hotmail.com  (This email link will not work if you are on hotmail. You need to copy and paste it.)   Remember to clearly state your name and address and write your order out clearly. Refer to our order form to give you a rough idea how to set it out.  If you can, please put each card on a new line.  If you are ordering from abroad, we charge the actual postage cost (minimum £1).  You can always email me for a postage estimate first.   UK orders pay £1 postage for any size order.

CONDITION of cards is at least good to very good unless stated. Money-back guarantee if you are unhappy.

ABBREVIATIONS *= good only. **= fair. ***= poor (Look for reduced prices on these). We sometimes also use P F G VG M for poor, fair, good, very good, mint.   bt= border trimmed.  No=number.  Unnd/nd= un-numbered/numbered.  bw= black & white.  col= colour.  c= circa or approx(on dates).  Anon= anonymous (i.e. no issuer stated on card).

POSTAGE & PACKING . £1 any size order of cards & card books or card mags to Utd Kingdom addresses. Despite the huge recent increases by Royal Mail, we do not plan to alter our postal charges. So whether you order 1 or 1,000 cards(or magazines and books) its a flat £1 postage. It couldn't be more simple.  If you have a sticky self-addressed label, please send us one.   Overseas and Irish Republic- we charge full postage. 

MINIMUM ORDER. We don't have a minimum.

PACKETS of cards. (e.g. Packet 10 diff vgc £5), are all cards of our choice.

CARDS BOUGHT IN ERROR can be returned for refund of course but please send a SAE unless it was our fault.

BOARDBACKED or BUBBLE ENVELOPES . Available at 25p each on request.

RECORDED DELIVERY . Available on request at 95p extra. Maximum compensation is £60. Special delivery costs £5 in addition to £1 postage (Max compensation £1,000). We advise customers to consider requesting these services if ordering valuable cards.  Overseas ‘signed-for’ packets cost roughly an extra £5 to £8 in addition to postage.

DESPATCH OF ORDERS. Please allow 10 days delivery. In practice, we send most orders back within 48 hours but please allow time for large cheques to clear.  Please note that I will be away from 21st May to 3rd June 2012 inclusive. Apologies for any inconvenience.

RESERVATIONS are not allowed. We operate a first come-first served postal system which we think is fairer to all. You can of course phone queries etc (but not orders) on 01652 656389 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. any day.

INDIVIDUAL CARD NUMBERS. Due to lack of space, we generally only put numbers to higher value trade cards. You can always ask for us to provide some numbers if this creates problems. With regards to cigarette cards, we do not number these because they are already listed in the excellent reference work ‘Half-Time’  which we stock at the reduced price of £8. This book is pretty much the bible for football cigarette card collectors.
